What is the difference between strategy and tactics? According to MS Encarta Dictionary:

Strategy

  1. Military planning of war: the science or art of planning and conducting a war or military campaign
  2. Planning in any field: a carefully devised plan of action to achieve a goal, or the art of developing or carrying out such a plan.

Tactics

  1. Military direction of forces in battle: the science of organizing and maneuvering forces in battle to achieve a limited or immediate aim
  2. Finding means to end: the art of finding and implementing means to achieve particular immediate or short-term aims

We see that strategy deals with the art of conducting a war or campaign whereas tactics deal with the maneuvers to engage a specific enemy in a specific battle.

The Bible has much to say about the individual preparation of the believer to engage an enemy in spiritual warfare. For example, we have the gifts of the spirit provided by the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 and these are to be manifested through individual believers. And, when a believer does what the Bible says in Mark 16:18 and they "lay hands on the sick" and the sick person recovers, then in a sense spiritual warfare has occurred and a battle has been won.

In addition to the Bible, there are many excellent books written by others from which you can learn about how to move in evangelism, healing, casting out demons, prayer, fasting, moving in various gifts of the spirit such as discerning of spirits, prophecy...but these are typically used tactically. In other words, you use these spiritual tools or disciplines to engage an enemy in a specific battle or encounter to establish the kingdom of God in a specific circumstance.

As Believers, we can all agree that we are in an ongoing battle with the Heavenly Hosts for things to be “on Earth as it is in Heaven”.

I entreat you when I do come [to you] that I may not [be driven to such] boldness
as I intend to show toward those few who suspect us of acting according to the flesh
[on the low level of worldly motives and as if invested with only human powers].
For though we walk (live) in the flesh,we are not carrying on our warfare according
to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are
not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for
the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,

The features under this section are dedicated to sharing “tactical” and “practical” solutions [explanations, keys, illuminations, explications; methods of successfully dealing with a problem or difficulty] for aligning ourselves (mind, body and spirit) to conform to Christ in order that we may overcome wages of war against us.

Aaron imparts some of his tactical solutions: prophetic insights, wisdom nuggets and kingdom principles on presenting ourselves spiritually before God to be deemed wholly and acceptable.

Don't live any longer the way this world lives. Let your way of thinking be
completely changed. Then you will be able to test what God wants for you.
And you will agree that what he wants is right. His plan is good and
pleasing and perfect
. Romans 12:2 (NIRV)

Jill-Marie describes some practical solutions on presenting our bodies as living sacrifices, pure and pleasing in living everyday life and the testimony of how their son has been healed of Autism through prayer and following God’s leading in the natural things.

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary
life—your sleeping, eating, "going-to-work, and "walking-around" life—and place
it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing
you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into
it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed
from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly
respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its
level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity
in you.

The Emerging Daniel Company’s mission is to help others re-claim, re-gather and re-store as in Joel 2:25 for the years that have been stolen from us.

It is our intent to making this a “living” section that will be updated periodically to include new insights as the Lord provides.
